Christmas Ornaments
Another way to support SIFC is to purchase a White House Christmas ornament. Since 1981, the White House Historical Association has presented an ornament that honors one of our past presidents with design elements that feature the president’s special interests. Each ornament is attractively boxed and includes a brief history of the president accomplishments while in office.
SIFC not only sells the current year’s ornament but also past ornaments for the avid collector. They are wonderful gifts for family, friends or to thank a generous host or hostess.
2021 White House Ornament Honors Dwight D. Eisenhower
Soroptimist International of Fairfax County (SIFC) is proud to make available the 2021 White House Ornament, which honors our 36th President Lyndon Baines Johnson.
The art depicts the 1967 Official Christmas Card featuring the Christmas Tree in the Blue Room pained by Robert H. Laessig, a designer for American Greetings Card Company. Laessig painted six watercolors for the Johnson Christmas cards and gift prints, but this was the only image of the inside of the Mansion.
